Long Haul Flights: In-Flight Spa

Hey, beautiful!

Today I have some tips and tricks for those long and tiring haul flights, especially for those overseas. When I went on an oversea trip this summer, I put in practice these tips and they were very helpful. We all know plane flights can be exhausting, boring and annoying but with these tips I'm about to give you, you can have your own in-flight spa.

First of all, before we get into the tips and tricks… We all know planes can get cold, so you should always keep a scarf/sweater/socks with you. The air used in planes is recycled, which can be very drying for your skin and that’s why I have narrowed down some key tips for you.

Moisture and hydration are very important when flying long or short flights. You have to drink lots of water (as usual) and moisture you skin more than you would regularly. So, with all being said, let's jump right in!

1. Remove any makeup on: to begin our little in-flight spa, you have to remove any makeup that you may have on. Something to keep in your makeup bag, if you travel with makeup on, are makeup remover wipes.

2. Toner time: after removing your makeup, if you had any, put on some toner with your hand or cotton pads if you have.

3. Hydration is key: apply a thin layer of some regular/tinted moisturizer or, better yet, a hydrating mask. This will help give your skin some hydration during the flight. Let this dry before the next step.

4. Hands and lips: as you are moisturizing and hydrating your face, you should take care of your hands and lips. These can also get dry on flights. Keep a hand cream and a regular/tinted lip balm in your beauty bag and apply them as usual.

5. Clean up: about 30-45 minutes before you land, remove the thin layer of cream left on your face with a wet cotton pad using water. This step is optional.

6. Moisture again: if you removed the creams with a wet cotton pad, go ahead and apply a little thin layer of moisturizer to keep your face hydrated. This step is also optional.

7. Makeup: put on some concealer, powder and mascara to give your look a little boost before getting off the plane. You can skip this step if you are comfortable without makeup and with a semi-shiny face.

As mentioned before, remember to drink water. This little spa kind of thing is no excuse to stop drinking water, if anything, water will only help and make you look even better after all. I hope you found this helpful!

Bye, beautiful!
