DIY: Deep-Conditioning Hair Mask

Hey, beautiful!

Today I’m going to tell you how to make a homemade deep-conditioning mask for your hair. It's very important to hydrate all throughout the year and every season but now that Spring is around the corner and Summer will be here before we know it, hydrating your hair is key to having it shiny, silky and beautiful; something we all want to be able to achieve those perfect beach waves!

Do you constantly use heat in your hair? If you do, take it down a notch. Constant heat can make your hair really dry, it can make it look opaque and not pretty at all. So reduce the amount of heat for your hair and when you do need some heat, use a heat tamer spray to protect every strand of hair and its ends.

*What you’ll need: your regular conditioner and extra-virgin olive oil.

*Steps:

1. Put some of the conditioner in a bowl and then in the microwave so it melts a little and it’ll mix easier with the olive oil.

2. Pour some of the extra-virgin olive oil into the bowl and mix well.

3. Let the two combined products sit for about 5-10 minutes.

4. Apply the mask to your hair with your hands. Starting from the ends working all the way up to the middle, but don’t get to the roots because it can make them oily and extra oil is not good for your hair (if you have naturally greasy hair it’ll look worse).

5. Leave in the mask for about 10-15 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. Once the water runs clear, wash your hair like you normally would.

I hope this easy DIY made your hair look shiny and beautiful. If you found it helpful, please let me know and I’ll make sure to have some more DIYs coming your way!

Come back this Wednesday for a post filled with some of the worst beauty moves we sometimes don't realize we're making.

Bye, beautiful!
