3 Lips Trends For Your New Year's Celebration
Hey, beautiful!
More than
anything, I hope you had a wonderful day with your loved ones yesterday and
that today is also an awesome day for you.
This time of
the year is all about bold lips, right? More often than not though, that bold
lip is usually a classic red… Today I’m going to give you three other lip
options for when you want to go for a bold lipstick this holiday season.
These three
lip colors are making a comeback this season, since they are all colors we’ve
seen in past years. These are beautiful colors that will go perfectly with
whatever you decide to do for your eye makeup, whether it be subtle and natural
or not. Let’s jump right in!
*Frosted lip: here’s a 90’s flashback for
all of you! To achieve this look use natural liner to define your lips, then
use a lip brush to apply a matte nude pink lipstick over your lips and finish
off with a light pink or shimmery gloss on top.
*Brown lipstick: the shade of brown you
use will vary depending on your skin tone. If you have a light skin tone, go
for a brown that’s not too light and has a red or orange undertone to it; if
you have a medium skin tone, go for a brown that has a taupe-like undertone or
a yellow-undertone; and if you have a dark skin tone go for a soft tan, coffee
or pink toned nude.
*Autumn obre trend: to get this look you
first have to line your lips with a burgundy-colored liner and shade in the
corner of your top and bottom lip. Then apply a redish-toned lipstick with a
flat lip brush, leaving the center of your lips only slightly tinted. Be sure
the tones all blend together by going back to the lip pencil and bringing its
darker color into the lipstick but without touching the lipstick. Now you can
clean up the edges with concealer and you’re ready!
I hope you
liked this post and will try a different bold lip color for New Years!
Bye,
beautiful!
